 France to offer Sanitary Napkins or Period Products Free for Students

The France Government said on 23 February on Tuesday, to join a global drive to end "Period Poverty" which will help the students who are enable to pay for the menstrual protection, it would make period products free for students. 

Why Are We Missing Out In Addressing Period Poverty?

Education Minister Frederique Vidal Said that tampons, sanitary pads, and other period products would be installed in student residences and universities health services in the coming days. She said, The Government aimed to make period protection completely free of  charge for all by the next academic year in September, 2021. 

In England, free sanitary pads and period products are available in all the primary and secondary schools. 

In November, Scotland became the first country in the world to make period free products.

In December, President of France, Emmanuel Macron had promised to address the issue of poverty of periods.
